This month we will be discussing how to work toward grieving with dignity and positivity.
Laura Dyas has been working within the non-profit community since 1991. She has an extensive background in grief and loss work in the state of Michigan.
Laura started her non-profit career off in the adoption field, working both domestically and internationally to. She is known for her advocacy work for all members of the adoption triad and spoke before the Michigan Senate working to change the state adoption laws.
Laura spent 13 years running a women’s crisis center helping thousands of women faced with unplanned pregnancies to actively change their lives. She created a GED program, helped her clients find employment and wrote an educational parenting curriculum.
Her unique wrap around approach surrounded the client with five years of emotional, educational and material support, helping to create positive outcomes for those wanting to parent.
Laura began her career with the Scleroderma Foundation Michigan Chapter in the United States in 2008 as their Executive Director. In 2017 she started working with the Scleroderma Patient Centered Invention Network, SPIN, on a contractual basis, serving as the Director of Training.
