In mid-2023, St Vincent’s Hospital established the Scleroderma Supportive Care Program to provide long term symptom-based management and palliative care for patients with scleroderma.
The University of Melbourne are examining the role of palliative care in the management of scleroderma, and a major part of this project is to explore the needs of people with scleroderma and their carers or support persons. They are also interested in exploring the acceptability of palliative care treatment as a method of improving scleroderma-related symptom control for people with scleroderma and their carers.
They are interested in seeking a wide range of scleroderma lived experience and carer perspectives about these issues with one-on-one interviews (in person or online for 45 – 60 minutes).
